Ryan Sprock reached base six times at the plate, and also took the win after 3 1/3 hitless innings of relief in Seton Hall Prep’s 24-9 victory over Roxbury in Succasunna.

Sprock, a junior, entered with Seton Hall Prep (5-2-1) leading 11-9 with two outs in the bottom of the third and runners on first and second. He struck out the first batter he faced to end the threat, then struck out the side in the fourth. He struck out eight and walked one in 60 pitches to pick up the win. At the plate, Sprock was 3-for-3 with three walks, four RBI and one run.
Chris Maldonado’s two-run single tied the game at 9-9 in the top of the third and Andrew Fernandez followed with a two-run double to put Seton Hall Prep in front for good. Fernandez was 3-for-5 with a walk, four RBI and three runs scored, while Maldonado went 2-for-4 with a walk, four RBI and three runs scored. Karson Harcourt went 4-for-5 with a walk, three runs and a RBI, Dominick Carlucci was 3-for-4 with wo walks and three RBI, Luke Mahala was 3-for-5 with a run and a RBI, and Dominick Monteleone scored five runs. Cole McGonigal and Connor Baratta scored two runs apiece.
Nick Morales had three RBI for Roxbury (3-4). Colin Richter was 3-for-5 with two runs and a stolen base, and Justin Kurbansade had two runs and two RBI. Justin Bosland had added two runs with a RBI and Matt Seminera scored two runs.
