Port Chester man charged with sex crime involving child under 13
A Port Chester man is accused of sexually abusing a child several times in the first half of 2016.
Fermin Jaimes, 46, was arrested by Port Chester police on Tuesday and charged with second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony.
The victim, who prosecutors said was under the age of 13 at the time, told a friend and then her mother about the abuse. The victim was subjected to several acts of sexual contact on multiple occasions, prosecutors said.
Bail was set at $20,000 cash/bond, and he's scheduled to return to village court for a felony hearing on Nov. 4.
