'Very Large' Snowflakes Fall in Oswego, New York

Parts of New York saw up to four inches of snow on Friday, December 6, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The NWS said lake effect snow could form Friday night and add an additional two to four inches of snowfall in western and north-central New York.

These videos show snow falling and coating cars, trees, and roads in Oswego, New York, a city near Lake Ontario.

Meteorology student Tommy Cerra, who posted the videos, said the “very large” snowflakes caused about three inches of snow to accumulate on Friday.

The weather service said cold air moving into the Great Lakes region could also bring additional bands of lake effect snow next week. Credit: Tommy Cerra via Storyful
