His Royal Highness’ visit to the Indian State of Kerala emphasises the ongoing economic and trade cooperation, building on existing agreements and understandings between India and the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said a news release from the Bahrain embassy.

“The visit also pays tribute to the invaluable contribution of the Indian community to Bahrain society,” it added. .

Bahrain is also keen on cooperation in the information technology (IT) sector. The Kerala government is already partnering the UAE in the SmartCity project in IT.
