Pot Plants Valued At $80 Million Confiscated In Grays Harbor Raid

Police conducted search and seizures in several Western Washington locations, including Bellevue, Kent, and Medina.

MONTESANO, WA - Police orchestrated a raid of a massive operation in Grays Harbor, King, and Thurston counties Tuesday morning, seizing more than 32,000 marijuana plants valued at $80 million. The bust resulted in the execution of 50 search warrants and 44 arrests. The illegal pot-growing operation was allegedly run by Chinese nationals, according to the Grays Harbor Sheriff's Office.

Police also confiscated 26 vehicles, as well as guns and other items of value. About $400,000 of cash and gold was also seized.

Police reported that eight of the warrants were executed in King County on the following streets: 56th Avenue South in Kent, 144th Avenue SE in Bellevue, NE Lake Washington Boulevard in Bellevue, NE 8th Street in Bellevue, and 80th Avenue NE in Medina. Some streets had multiple addresses subject to search warrants.
