The Bahrain under-19 national team have stepped up their preparations, under coach Abdelaziz Abdo and his assistant Mohammed Al Muqla, ahead of the AFC Cup 2016 to be held in Bahrain from October 13 to 30, reports MAZIN RIZK
Bahrain Football Association (BFA) have named Abdelaziz Qambar as the head of the delegation of the under-19 national team which will be travelling to Spain to take part in a friendly tournament.
Qambar said taking part in the friendly tournament was an important part of the team’s preparations.
“The tournament will be crucial for the coach to evaluate his players and see what is on the table,” Qambar said.
Qambar also said the player’s positive response to the coach’s programme shows their dedication.
Qambar praised the efforts put up by the technical and coaching staff and said he was confident of the team doing well in the AFC Cup.
The team has the full support of BFA through its president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, he added.
