Mattel has released the collection of BTS dolls and while the hype was at its peak before the launch, netizens' reactions online have not been all that positive - largely around the dolls' hairstyles.  Some have mentioned that while the facial features of the dolls have been close to accuracy, the hair "ruined" the whole look. Many pointed out that the dolls' hair could be tweaked. However, majority were still praising and applauding Mattel for its efforts and capturing the hottest K-pop band. On its official Twitter account, the toy manufacturer has been teasing fans for a week with snippets of the dolls'. Just two days ago, Mattel unveiled the line of #BTSxMattel fashion dolls.MIC Drop, ARMY! ?For the first time ever, we're thrilled to show you the line of #BTSxMattel fashion dolls! The team of seven gained popularity over the past few years, collaborating with companies such as PUMA, Facebook and Coca-Cola.Meanwhile, this is not the first of its kind as Mattel has previously created a Barbie doll line series inspired by global female role models. In March last year, the toy company introduced the dolls timed to International Women’s Day. The doll line series also contained educational information about the contributions each women made to society and their respective fields.Last year, Coca-Cola also launched special edition cans dedicated to BTS members. According to pictures circulating online, there will be seven kinds of cans and bottles respectively representing each member.Read more:BTS’ entertainment agency called out by human rights org for Nazi inspired outfitMassive demand for BTS movie ticket causes Shaw website to crashSingapore Police Force uses BTS song titles to warn about ticket scamsMic drop: TGV Cinemas’ witty FB apology for Korean band BTS’ movie cancellationPUMA jumps at K-pop fever in new BTS collaborationFacebook jumps on K-pop hype integrating BTS themed stickers on platformCoca-Cola sweetens the deal for K-pop fans with new BTS packaging
