PLATTEVILLE, Colo. (KDVR) — Firefighters at the Platteville Gilcrest Fire Protection District say they discovered one resident and pets deceased inside a trailer home at 731 Grand Ave. as a result of a structure fire. The fire was reported at 2:37 a.m. on Friday.
Authorities identified the deceased as 61-year-old Lisa Jenae Justice and her two dogs that perished in the fire, on Sunday.
Frederick Firestone Fire and LaSalle Fire joined Platteville firefighters to fight the fire. Fire crews made their way into the trailer as soon as they were on scene.
The incident remains under investigation by Platteville police and fire authorities.
