State Police divers have recovered the body of a fisherman who was reported missing Tuesday on Lake Champlain, authorities said. Police said the victim reportedly went missing between North Hero and Alburgh. Search crews, along with the state police scuba team, recovered the victim's body just after 8 p.m., about 40 yards from the shore in 14-feet deep water.Detectives from the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations are conducting a death investigation. Authorities said the death does not appear suspicious at this time.The victim's body will be transported to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Burlington for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.
