Bahrain invites tenders for key sewerage project

MANAMA, June 11, 2016

Bahrain's Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning has invited bids for a key sewerage project in Block 241 of the Arad area of the kingdom, said a senior official.

The designs are presently being prepared for the implementation of a sewerage network in Block 246, planned for commencement in the coming years once the budget is allocated, stated Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al Khayyat, works undersecretary of the ministry during a meeting with Sabah Al Dosari, a municipal council member and representative to the seventh constituency in Muharraq, at his office.

Present at the meeting was sanitary engineering assistant undersecretary Asma Murad.

Al Dosari met Al Khayyat to discuss the progress achieved in the implementation of the sewerage network in Blocks 241 and 246 besides requesting the ministry to look into the issue of storm water flood locations in Blocks 245 and 243.

Following the meeting, Al Khayyat directed the concerned entities at the ministry to look into the issue of storm water flooding in Blocks 245 and 243 and fix the problem.-TradeArabia News Service
