#ReleaseTheSnyderCut news refuses to die down. It was the two year anniversary of the Justice League theatrical release last month, and in celebration of the comic book movie event, Snyder fans around the world came together online in a very vocal demonstration of support for the now infamous Snyder Cut. And so did most of the cast. Except for Henry Cavill.

This morning, Zack Snyder confirmed the Snyder Cut exists, offering photographic proof. This is a mysterious version of the film that keeps the original director's vision intact. The Snyder Cut has become the holy grail for many DC and movie fans, with even the cast coming out in support of the film's release. One voice that was oddly quiet was that of the Man of Steel himself, Henry Cavill, who has now opened up about why he did not get involved in the campaign.

"I wouldn't say there's any particular reason. I, it's... I mean, I miss my mustache. Which is the most important thing. And for me it was just a harrowing reminder that I didn't have it anymore. And so I just didn't want to dig that wound any deeper."

That infamous Superman mustache that still haunts the dreams of anyone unlucky enough to have gazed at Cavill's bizarrely warped face in Justice League. Growing out his facial fuzz for his role as agent August Walker in Mission: Impossible - Fallout, the mouth brow caused all kinds of drama behind the scenes when Cavill was called back for Justice League reshoots. Forced to comb his soup strainer to within an inch of its life so that it did not encroach upon his top lip, the tech team then had to utilise state-of-the-art (and allegedly very expensive) CGI in order to keep Superman from looking like a 70's porn star.

Despite this, it sounds like Henry Cavill ended up becoming quite fond of his impressive stache, and it sounds like that lost love was ultimately the reason he did not want to remind himself of Justice League and thus stayed away from the Snyder Cut movement. Cavill also communicated his overall feelings for the Snyder Cut, even speculating as to whether such a thing even exists.

"I have not seen any Snyder Cut. I don't know if there's anything that exists that is a Snyder Cut. I'm sure there's footage out there which has probably been pieced together over the years. I'm always interested to see how stuff like that turns out, but that is very much a chapter of my past. I'd rather talk about what is gonna happen in the future. The future of Superman, how I can express that character from the comic books."

So, it sounds like he has absolutely no qualms with a supposed Snyder Cut, but Cavill does pour a bucket of ice-cold water over the entire prospect, stating that he has never seen it, nor does he even know if any such cut exists. Surely if anyone would know, it would be Superman.

While November's #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement continued to raise awareness, Warner Bros. have stated that there are no plans to release the sought-after Snyder Cut. Sadly, the fans will have to just keep on trying. This comes to us from Jake's Takes on Youtube
