Reader letters, Thursday: Capitol marauders should face justice
Capitol marauders should face justice
What is wrong with this picture? A person of color breaks into a white person's house and vandalizes it; police are called and the person of color is arrested. White person breaks into white person's house vandalizes it; police are called and the person is escorted out no immediate charges.
I am devastated by the events that occurred at the U.S. Capital. To see images of the sacred halls of government being desecrated, people taking pictures, acting like it’s a party was heartbreaking.
Even more appalling, the president and his minions orchestrated it all. Many of the terrorists were escorted out with no arrests. This was absolutely treasonous and they have gotten away with it.
I am reminded of a line in the movie “Planet of the Apes”, where one of the apes said, “Ape shall not kill ape.”
Desmond Tutu said, “If you are neutral in situations of injustice you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”
Pause, who are you in this conversation?

Election 'fraud' narrative missed the point
Why do most continue to use the issue of “fraud” in discussions about the election. There appears to have been little, if any, in the way of fraud.
The issue was instead “unconstitutional.” Several key states used legal (judges) and executive(governors) groups to alter rules for the elections. The Constitution is clear: Only state legislatures can write or alter the handling of votes in an election.
