Central Pennsylvania's back-to-back winter storms start on Thursday with a quick-moving clipper system.
That snow is expected to move into the Susquehanna Valley from west to east between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Thursday and wrap up before the morning commute Friday.
"Roads will be slick early Friday morning. Plan for extra commute time," said WGAL's Matt Moore. "This is a quick-hitting storm, similar to what we saw over the weekend, maybe slightly lower (snow) amounts overall."
The clipper system is expected to drop 1 to 2 inches of snow across most of the Susquehanna Valley with some isolated locations getting 3 inches.
Second Storm
"We're tracking yet another chance for winter weather. This will be a stronger storm into the weekend, but we could see all types of precipitation with this one," Matt said.
Current models show the storm starting as snow on Saturday afternoon then changing over to rain early Sunday morning.
Once the storm moves out Sunday, temperatures drop dramatically. Matt said temperatures may struggle to reach 20 degrees Monday.
