An 83-year-old woman went swimming with basking sharks on holiday in the Hebrides to complete her bucket list.
Naomi Crowder has tracked wildlife in the Antarctic and says that a live volcano on Tanna island in Vanuatu, in the South Pacific, is the most spectacular thing she has seen during her travels.
Her trip to Coll was towards the end of her list because she wanted to tackle the longer journeys before she got too old for long-haul flights. Ms Crowder, a former BT worker from Sheffield, started her explorations when she retired. She joked that she was “spending the kids’ inheritance”.
