Frank Body's First-Ever Hair-Care Products Include a Scalp Scrub and Mask — and There’s Already a Waitlist

Frank Body, the Australian brand best known for its simply perfect coffee body scrub, is getting into the hair-care business.

On May 17, the brand is debuting hair products with formulas based on the ingredient they know best: Coffee. It's starting out with two products dedicated to scalp (and overall hair) care.

First up is the Stimulating Scalp Scrub, designed to remove product build-up and detoxify the scalp. It's formulated with fan-favorite ingredients like coffee, eucalyptus, and peppermint, so expect that cool, tingly sensation that means a product is working. The grains in this scrub are extremely fine and the brand suggests following up with shampoo in the shower to be sure they're all washed out.

Aside from scrubbing away a week's worth of dry shampoo, a scalp scrub can also help buff away dandruff flakes. There's just one catch, as Jeanine Downie, owner and director of Image Dermatology in Montclair, New Jersey, previously told Allure: remember to scrub gently. "Unfortunately, when used too vigorously, [scalp scrubs] can break the hair follicle," she said. "I would recommend [them] no more than twice a week if you have very oily hair with a lot of dandruff. Otherwise, it should only be once a week." Fortunately, the fine texture of this product makes it a bit easier to not go too hard.

Once your scalp is freshly scrubbed, the Go Longer Hair Mask is here to moisturize and soften your hair down to the follicle. Ingredients include coffee, of course, plus niacinamide, the Vitamin B complex that's known in the skin-care world as a soothing redness reducer. Apply this baby two to three times a week after shampooing, then skip the conditioner and enjoy your softer, silkier hair. Bonus? It smells amazing and gives your scalp a glorious, clean, tingly feeling. Digital editor Jihan Forbes says she became an instant fan after using this. "It's definitely a great follow-up to the scrub. It makes my scalp feel like it just ate a peppermint, and makes my hair smell really good." However, with her hair texture, she thought it could have been more moisturizing. "I think that perhaps someone with a looser hair texture might find this mask more hydrating. For me, it was more of a scalp treatment."

You can cop the Scrub for $19, the Mask for $18, or both in a duo set for $35.
