Tom Holland Fans Are Mourning the Loss of His Beautiful Curly Hair

For fans of Spider-Man star Tom Holland, yesterday was a sad, sad day. On October 8, an activist by the name of Art posted a video of Holland talking to the camera to thank him for visiting fans at a medical center in Ohio. The video itself is harmless and laced with all of Holland's usual affable charm — but his shaved head in the video sent fans into a full-on spiral they have yet to recover from. The video was reposted by the celebrity news Twitter account Pop Crave, and it rapidly circulated to every single corner of the internet.

Alongside his English accent, thick-rimmed glasses, and unflinching politeness, Holland's curly, chocolate-colored mop of hair is among the key attributes that makes him so appealing to so many fans — needless to say, they are less than thrilled to see it's gone without warning. Just as it went when Joe Keery and Harry Styles cut off their beloved hair, people on Twitter are having a field day about Holland's, and not in a good way.

"Rest in peace to Tom Holland's beautiful hair. You will be missed," writes one fan in mourning. "R.I.P Tom Holland’s hair you will be missed but not forgotten," chimes another with a full photo montage of his hair set to music. Amid all the fans upset over Holland's recent lack of hair, there are plenty of other getting a good laugh out of it. He's already drawn comparisons to an egg, Eminem, Pitbull, and Caillou, the bald children's cartoon character. The general consensus? "I don't know that guy."

As fans have speculated, Holland didn't shave his head just because (although it wouldn't really matter if he had). It appears he made the change for his upcoming movie Cherry, the plot of which IMDB describes as "an army medic suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder who becomes a serial bank robber after an addiction to drugs puts him in debt." Kinda sounds like something you'd need to shave your head for. But as it goes with all haircuts you don't like, Holland's will grow out. Deep breaths, Tom Holland stans, it's all going to be OK.
