ROCKFORD, Mich. — A runner from Michigan set a major goal this year and just sprinted past the finish line.

Adam Quinn is 21 years old and he just finished running 2018 miles this year. He calls it the 'Run the Year' challenge.

What you won't know if you spot Adam running his five miles per day in Rockford is that he has autism.

His parents hope his story encourages inclusion.

"There's probably lots of people who have some capability and they want to do things with other people they just may not be fully functioning in the way you might expect them to,” said Adam’s dad Allan Quinn. “And if you just give everyone a chance, you may find out that hey they can be a friend, they can do more than you think."

When Adam completed his last two miles, his family and friends were waiting for him at the finish line to celebrate.
