HADLEY - An estimated 2,000 people enjoyed beer, music and games at the fourth annual Oktoberfest Amherst Saturday at the outdoor Young Men's Club here on East Street.
Music was a big draw for the event, which was sold out. Showers throughout the morning did not discourage the attendance, and the sun did shine for much of the afternoon.
The event featured a no-tolerance policy for driving to and from the grounds. Many attendees arrived on via buses and shuttle services. All attendees were required to show identification.
Music was provided by Black Caviar, Avro, Guitar Dudes, Raw, Rico Cocchi, Rivas, Sifts, Sunshine Brothers, Vinny Vibe and Violin VIIV.
