UPPER DUBLIN, PA — Upper Dublin has received a significant grant from the state to help create a new community park.

The $120,000 grant will allow the township to transition the Twining Valley/Upper Dublin Golf and Fitness Club into a public park.

"This new park will certainly be an asset to the 153rd District and help bring our community together,” State Rep. Ben Sanchez (D-Montgomery) said in a statement announcing the funding. "I’m thankful that Upper Dublin Township is receiving these funds, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact the park will have for residents of all ages."

The funding comes from the state's Commonwealth Financing Authority. Nearly 400 projects around the state, including 29 in Pennsylvania, were funded at the most recent meeting.
