DACULA, GA — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

Again in 2021, Mall of Georgia in Buford will not be staging Fourth of July fireworks. However, there are plenty of other opportunities to celebrate in Gwinnett County, as well as one near Dacula in Auburn.

Loganville will start a week early with its Independence Celebration, including games, food vendors, a Journey cover band and fireworks.

July 2

Lawrenceville will host a Prelude to the Fourth fireworks display, with special performances by Riley Biederer and Electric Avenue. Fireworks begin at dusk.

July 3

Auburn's Independence Day Celebration has the largest fireworks display in Barrow County.

  • When: 5-11 p.m.

In Buford at Lake Lanier, Margaritaville at Lanier Islands will host a 4th of July Celebration withThe Jonathan Ingram Band at LandShark Landing at 8 p.m., with fireworks at 10 p.m. Park admission is $15 per person.

  • Where: Lake Lanier, 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford
  • When: 8-11 pm.

Duluth Celebrates America with live music and food trucks. Fireworks begin over City Hall at 9:45 p.m.

  • Where: Duluth Town Green, downtown Duluth
  • When: 5:30-10 p.m.

Lilburn will host Sparkle in the Park, with food, children's activities, a performance by the GLOW Band and fireworks to start at 9:30 p.m.

Norcross will stage Red, White & BOOM! Downtown, with bounce houses, face painting and food vendors.

Sugar Hill’s Sparks in the Park will combine fireworks with live music by Electric Avenue.

July 4

In Buford at Lake Lanier, Margaritaville at Lanier Islands will host a 4th of July Celebration with The Pick Up Line Band at LandShark Landing at 8 p.m., with fireworks at 10 p.m. Park admission is $15 per person.

  • When: 8-11 pm.

Celebrate Braselton 4th of July Festival includes food trucks, a parade at 6 p.m., a free concert on the Town Green and fireworks after dark.

  • Where: Downtown Braselton
  • When: 5-10 p.m.

Snellville with host Star Spangled Snellville on the Towne Green, with games, musical entertainment and fireworks.

  • Where: Snellville Towne Green
  • When: 4-10 p.m.
