AMR Of Nashua And Manchester Help New York With Coronavirus

NASHUA, NH — American Medical Response (AMR), which provides EMS service for Nashua and Manchester, has sent crews to assist in New York, New York, to assist in the fight of the new coronavirus. One crew from Nashua and Manchester with Basic Life Support EMTs traveled to NYC with two New Hampshire supervisors.

Chris Stawasz, the general manager of AMR NH, said 250 ambulances with more than 500 people, including fleet mechanics, logistics and communications personnel have been deployed.

They will assist with patients in NYC including those suffering COVID-19 symptoms.

The crews are deployed in situations which a large scale medical operation is needed. They have responded to weather related disasters and other incidents.
