Qingqing Chen

Bio:

Qingqing Chen is a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Crooks in the Department of Geography at the University at Buffalo. In general, her research focuses on critically understanding urban space by leveraging (geo)computational techniques and data informatics. In particular, she is interested in decoding perceived urban space through multi-sensory human experiences, especially for non-visual human experiences. She received an M.S. in Physics from the National University of Singapore in 2015 and a B.S. in Physics from the Minjiang University of China in 2014. Prior to starting her Ph.D., she worked as a Research Associate at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) from 2018 to 2021 and as a Research Engineer at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology Centre (SMART) from 2015 to 2018.
