The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations and positive cases have dropped slightly in Connecticut, according to the latest data from the DPH.

CONNECTICUT — The key coronavirus metrics of positivity rate and hospitalizations continued their downward slide, according to the latest data delivered by the state Department of Public Health.

With 453 cases confirmed overnight, out of 25,260 tests reported, the daily coronavirus positivity rate reported Friday afternoon was 1.79 percent, up from 1.67 percent on Thursday.

Hospitalizations dropped 13 beds, in the latest data. As of Friday, there are 211 residents being treated for the virus inside Connecticut hospitals. Of those 161 ( 76.3 percent) are not fully vaccinated.

Most of those hospitalized (68) are in Hartford County.
