James City County police officer rescued driver’s groceries, too

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

Sigrid Randolph of Williamsburg was in a car accident and taken to a hospital. Her car had to be towed. While she was at the hospital, James City County police officer L. Bain — who’d handled the accident — brought her several bags of groceries that had been left in the car.

“I was so grateful that he took the time and energy to go the extra mile for me. I’m sure that was not in his job description,” she wrote. “Thank you, officer Bain.”
