WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Unbeaten Cheney beat Hugoton 51-12 in the first match up between the two teams in program history.

Junior quarterback Harrison Voth hit junior Luke Grace over the middle for the game’s first score to put the Cardinals up 7-0.

Hugoton then got the ball after a Cheney fumble deep in their own territory, but Daniel Sawyer’s pass was picked off by Blaine Meireis, which set up Voth up the middle for another touchdown to give Cheney a 14-0 lead.

The Cardinals went into the half with a 37-6 lead and the momentum only continued for Cheney, rolling past Hugoton 51-12 in the first ever game between the two teams.
