Cal Continues Road Trip At Washington

SEATTLE – California completes its swing through the Pacific Northwest with a Pac-12 battle against Washington at 7 p.m. PT Saturday at Alaska Airlines Arena. The game will be televised on ESPNU with Roxy Bernstein and Adrian Branch on the call.
 
The Golden Bears (8-16, 3-14 Pac-12) are aiming for a season sweep of the Huskies after defeating them, 84-78, in Berkeley on Jan. 9. Both teams are coming off of losses on Thursday, as Cal fell to Washington State while UW (4-17, 3-13 Pac-12) came up short against Stanford.

  • After earning arguably their most impressive win of the season with a 71-62 defeat of Colorado last Saturday, the Bears suffered their largest loss of the season Thursday at Washington State, 82-51.
  • A win on Saturday would mark Cal's first in Seattle since a 78-75 victory on Feb. 18, 2016.
  • The trio of Andre Kelly (22 points), Ryan Betley (18) and Makale Foreman (14) combined for 54 points in Cal's 84-78 victory over UW on Jan. 9 in Berkeley. Kelly made a career-high 11 field goals while Betley and Foreman tallied eight total 3-pointers. Cal was without leading scorer Matt Bradley in the win.
  • The Bears shot 55.4 percent from the field (31-of-56) in their win over UW on Jan. 9. It is their best FG% in any Pac-12 game this season.
  • Cal has played the most conference games among Pac-12 schools at this point in the season with 17.
  • Bradley is shooting 50.5 percent from the field (47-for-93) and is averaging 21.5 points in the past seven games. He scored a career-high 29 points last Saturday against Colorado and is tied for the most 20-point performances (10) among Pac-12 players this season despite missing seven total games with injuries.
  • Kelly continues to score at an efficient rate, ranking fourth in the Pac-12 in overall field goal percentage (58.0) and third in field goal percentage vs. conference foes (60.8). He scored 10 in Thursday's loss and had 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting against Utah on Feb. 11.
  • Freshman Jalen Celestine has started each of the past three games. He made a big impact in Cal's win over Colorado last Saturday, scoring a career-high 13 points on three 3-pointers and four free throws while logging 33 minutes played.
