The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Research Resource (NMR-3) is a facility located in the Chemistry Building at Dalhousie University, providing research and service using NMR to study both solid and liquid samples. NMR is an analytical technique in which the magnetic interactions of the atomic nuclei in a sample are used to fingerprint its local structure and dynamics, and as such provides critical information on many materials of interest in Clean Technology research. In this talk we will provide a brief overview of the NMR-3 capabilities, including its staff, instrumentation, and user access, and give several examples of our recent work studying energy storage and conversion materials.
