BURR RIDGE, IL — The state's coronavirus numbers are going in the wrong direction, so residents must remain vigilant, Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso said in his regular virus update over the weekend.

Last week, Grasso asked the public whether the village should adopt a resolution encouraging people to wear masks. He said he received numerous positive comments about the idea.

"Those over 60 must be cautious; staying home is always a safer route," the mayor said in his update. "If you go out, wear those face coverings, stay 6 feet apart and wash those hands."
