Aloha! My name Kalena Serraon and I was born and raised on the island of Kauai. I am humbled and grateful to be providing mental health services in the community that I grew up in. We all know how special Kauai and it's community is. I truly feel it takes a village to grow our keiki. I focus on youth, teens, and adults suffering from depression, anxiety, & trauma related issues. I attended the University of Hawaii at Mānoa were I obtained my Master's in Social Work with a focus in Child & Family. Aloha, I began my journey as a psychotherapist in 2006 and have worked in several settings in California and on Kauai including with severely mentally ill adults in residential treatment, at-risk adolescents in group homes, in a small Jungian analytical practice, and with children and families as an intensive in-home therapist. As a psychotherapist, I aid in lessening the burdens brought forth through talk therapy and working to understand the roots of issues presented. I enjoy listening with the goal of understanding each individual that comes to see me for therapy, and being an ally in life to those who are suffering.

Do you struggle with intrusive thoughts, distressing memories, and anxiety? EMDR therapy helps to effectively process trauma and allows you to live you life with more ease and regulation. I work with adults and teens to relieve symptoms of PTSD, OCD, addiction, and insomnia. If you have tried talk therapy but still struggle, I welcome you to try EMDR. I utilize ego-state parts work and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as needed. Throughout the healing process, you will notice increased self-trust and a natural release of old coping strategies. Aloha. I firmly believe parenting is the toughest job in the world, along with being a kid. And, I love working with adolescents!! During thirty years as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I worked in my private practice and for non-profit social service agencies. I also provided mental health services to students in Hawai'i's schools. I work with children, youth, families and adults to help them deal with a variety of issues, including ADHD, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, Substance Abuse, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.
