New Hampshire man charged with OUI in Massachusetts crashes; 6 people injured

A New Hampshire man involved in multiple car crashes in Massachusetts on Friday has been arrested and charged with operating under in the influence of alcohol.

Jonathan Markow, 29, was charged with an OUI following crashes in Reading and Wakefield that sent six people, Markow included, to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the Boston Globe.

Markow was driving a 2009 Chevy Tahoe at around 8:10 p.m. Friday when the first crash occurred in Wakefield, according to the Globe. Markow allegedly fled from the scene before colliding with two vehicles on Walkers Brook Drive in Reading.

Markow is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
