A woman was charged with three counts of murder and attempted murder after a stabbing at Whittington Beach Park in Naalehu on Hawaii Island on Friday, April 26. 

A 19-year-old woman, Kaleianuenue Borero-Kaluna, was one of two people arrested after the incident. She and the other suspect were picked up on suspicion of attempted first degree murder and other related charges, according to the Hawaii Police Department. 

Borero-Kaluna was charged with attempted murder in the first-degree, attempted murder in the second-degree and murder in the second-degree.

She is being held in police custody with bail set at $200,000.

The second suspect was released pending further investigation. 

Patroling officers discovered two victims at the scene — a 36-year-old male and a 35-year-old female with multiple stab wounds.

The female died at the scene, but was pronounced dead at Hilo Medical Center at 11:11 p.m., Friday night. 

The male victim was transported to the same hospital in serious condition. He is in stable condition and remains at Hilo Medical for treatment to his injuries. 

The indentity of the female victim has not yet been released.
