Southeast Tarrant County High School Sports Awards show is almost here. Honorees need to register by midnight Tuesday to get swag!
For the last nine months, we’ve been announcing the names of honorees for the Southeast Tarrant County High School Sports Awards, presented by Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. Now it’s finally time for the big show.
The list of honorees, and the registration form, can be found on the event website. Honorees need to register by midnight Tuesday to get the honoree gift box before the show. Registrations are also used to send out awards for winners following the show. If you know an honoree, remind them to register today.
The awards show is part of the largest high school sports recognition program in the country. Top athletes in most state-sanctioned sports will be honored during an on-demand broadcast at 7 p.m. Central June 28 on the event website.
The show will be free to watch on any smartphone or computer thanks to local business sponsors.
Top athletes who will be announcing winning athletes in the program include:
Three-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers
Two-time FIFA World Cup soccer champion Alex Morgan
Five-time swimming Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky
Three-time volleyball Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings
Baseball Hall of Famer Chipper Jones
Three-time Pro Bowler and two-time First-Team All-Pro outside linebacker T.J. Watt
Most successful female tennis player of the open era Martina Navratilova
Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist and World Champion Softball Pitcher Jennie Finch
And many more!
Honorees from this show could move on to become a statewide finalist or winner. Watch the Texas High School Sports Awards on the event website at 7 p.m. Central July 15.
Statewide athletes of the year will be among the national honorees for the inaugural USA TODAY High School Sports Awards Show, presented by U.S. Polo Assn., premiering Aug. 5 on USA TODAY News and Sports Wire channels. It will also be available for on-demand streaming afterwards on the event website, through Amazon Prime Direct and YouTube.
