Hi-Plains High School is proud to announce that their High School Knowledge Bowl team placed 2nd in 1A at the Colorado State Knowledge Bowl Tournament in March.
The team had an excellent year in a different environment than normal.
All of the events were held online this year, including the state tournament.
Over the two-day event, the team consistently performed well and stayed near the top of 1A.
The competition came down to the last round between Hi-Plains, Crescent-View, and Karval.
At the half-way point of that round, Hi-Plains and Crescent-View were neck and neck and had pulled away from Karval.
“The last 15 questions were really exciting as the two teams went back and forth answering questions,” said sponsor Chris Barnhart.
“It came down to the final question as Crescent-View finished with a 1-point advantage over Hi-Plains.”
The Knowledge Bowl team of Cooper Seaman, Brooklynn Henschel, Bex Seaman, Jessica Sayles, and Cloe Smith would like to thank Erin Henschel for supervising during the state tournament.
