Giant Food Stores donate to area food banks

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Food banks across our region got a big donation from Giant Food Stores Wednesday.

The company delivered 7,000 turkeys to 13 organizations.

1,500 of the Thanksgiving staple went to Philabundance in South Philadelphia.

Volunteers from Giant and the 76ers spent the day helping unload trucks and stock the shelves.

Franklin the Dog got in on the fun too.
