Local wedding website advises couples set to marry in Tagaytay to relocate or reschedule

Local wedding website Bride and Breakfast issued a reminder to couples who are getting married in Tagaytay in the next few days to relocate or reschedule their big day.

"If your wedding is happening in the next few days, consider possible options of changing location, and in extreme cases, even the date. Safety is a top priority," Bride and Breakfast wrote in their statement.

Bride and Breakfast said since some locations are severely affected by the ash fall brought by the Taal Volcano eruption that started last Sunday, it is best for couples to contact their venues " and get an update on the current situation and condition of the venue."

They reminded couples to "be considerate of the safety of your guests, your wedding suppliers, and even yourselves."

"Anyone who is exposed to the ash fall can possible experience adverse effects. Health and safety is crucial," they added.

Bride and Breakfast said the ash "is particularly hazardous to elders, children, and those with respiratory issues. Please make sure you have the necessary first aid and medication for incidents such as asthma attacks during your event."

They said the eruption "is not something you can control. Calmly go through decision-making and discussions for solutions with your partner, family, and team."
