Union County Coronavirus Test Site Closed Due To Tropical Storm

The Secret Life of Pets 2 scheduled for Tuesday in Rahway River Park is also canceled due to expected high winds and torrential rain.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Union County's coronavirus testing site is closed on Tuesday due to Tropical Storm Isaias, which is expected to bring torrential rain, strong winds, and a storm surge.

The scheduled walk-up Union County COVID-19-test site in Elizabeth at the Logan Rec Center is postponed to Saturday, Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those who made a previous appointment will receive an email honoring their appointment within the newly established time frame.

  • The Secret Life of Pets 2 scheduled for Tuesday in Rahway River Park is canceled
  • All Judiciary offices (County Courts) will be closed on Tuesday. While the physical court offices will be closed, virtual operations should continue to the extent possible.
  • Paratransit ends at 3 p.m. and Human Services is enacting Code Blue to assist the homeless into shelters.
