Kim Kardashian shared a series of Instagram Stories from a St Patrick's Day surprise she planned for her children, which descended into what can only be described as chaos.

To celebrate Wednesday, 17 March, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was organising a 'leprechaun trap' for her four children- North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

'Ok guys, we're building a leprechaun trap for the morning because we got to catch him,' Kim explained as the children created a trap using a big ladle, garlic salt, cooking spray and powdered sugar.

Kim praised the kids for their creativity, before putting out some gifts for them while they were asleep - only to realise she had forgotten one of the chests of gold coins, and noticing the trap had stained her stone worktops. Told you it was chaos.

In the voiceover, 40-year-old Kardashian explained, 'Ok so the kids are asleep, so what I'm going to do is put out a box of Lucky Charms and pretend like the leprechaun came and left some little gifts. I'm going to write their names on these boxes in a glitter glue, and put some necklaces in here...'

After pouring gold glitter everywhere, Kim realised something had gone wrong - she'd forgotten Psalm's gold coin chest. 'OK so a major fail. I realised I've only grabbed three of the little chests... So what do I do? Do I give none of them, or do I... Psalm can't read and doesn't even eat chocolate, so...'

She continued: 'Then I realised that the kids ruined and stained my stone table with the cooking spray. So now I'm trying to clean it up, but it's fully greased... So now my stone table is ruined. All for this f***ing leprechaun trap. Ugh. What do I do guys?'

Kim eventually drove and got another chest for Psalm, before wishing her followers a happy St. Patrick's Day. What a wild ride.
