BAHRAIN Triathlon Team members bagged five podium spots in the Kuwait Triathlon Championship which attracted over 300 competitors, including a number of professionals.
Bahrain’s Mohammad Isa, Nawaf Al Daen and Hamad Al Mansouri finished first, second and third respectively in the Sprint Challenge consisting of 750-metre swimming in the Arabian Gulf, followed by a 24km cycling and a five-km running.
Their compatriots Mohammed Mubarak and Omar Abdullah finished first and second respectively in the Super Sprint Challenge consisting of a 375-metrer swimming followed by a 12km cycling and a 2.5-km running.
President of Bahrain Triathlon Association Shaikh Saqer bin Salman Al Khalifa extended his hearty congratulations to the lead of Kingdom of Bahrain on the success achieved by the Bahraini team.
He also attributed the success to the unwavering support of Representative of His Majesty for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, chairman of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and president of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
