Sporting Goods Preparations for Winter Athletic Gear

DULUTH, Minn.- More sporting goods stores are preparing for winter by restocking shelves and organizing their shops.

Customers are coming in to Play It Again Sports for skates, hockey sticks, and more.

Like other sports supply stores, Play It Again is experiencing high demand in products and a supply shortage.

The sports shop regularly orders products throughout the year but is expecting a shortage of gloves and helmets as we move into wintertime.

“Right now, we’re just doing everything we can to make sure that all skates are here and all sticks are here,” said general manager Steven Holappa. “We have an abundance of products. We know there’s going to be some shortages on certain products this year, so we’re just trying to make sure we have orders in the system so that we have kind of a trickle effect all year.”

Play It Again Sports recommend that people be proactive on their sporting goods needs, as they expect to sell out of specialty items quickly.
