Akron Fire Department launches investigation into cause of New Year’s Day garage fire

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - No one was injured in a New Year’s Day fire that damaged a garage, Akron Fire Department said.
Akron fire crews were called to Elinor Avenue to battle a blaze that struck a detached garage.
The cause of the fire is being investigated. The fire began around 5 a.m. on Friday, according to a release.
Another garage and a home were exposed to the fire, the release said.
