The Cardinals have lost five of their last eight games, but still have the advantage in the National League Central Division over the Cubs and Brewers at two games with just 11 games left in the regular season. Righty Jack Flaherty, who is 10-8 on the season with a 3.05 ERA will be on the hill for St. Louis and the 23-year-old has been a monster of late, posting a 0.71 ERA in August and a 1.23 ERA through three games in September so far. The Cubs will be without Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez and Addison Russell and will hope the guys in uniform can will them to a win today. Kyle Hendricks, who owns a 6-4 record and a 3.16 ERA on the season, will be on the bump for the Cubs who hope his pitching can keep them in the hunt for a spot in the postseason.
