Vivian Denise “Tookie” Patterson, 44, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, in a local hospital.
She was a graduate of Tennessee State University and also obtained a degree from the American Institute of Banking of Nashville. She was employed by Citizens Bank in Nashville. In 1986, she became a member of the Church of Christ in Nashville. She was presently a member of the East Third Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her loving parents, Henry and Annie Patterson Sr., of Chattanooga; siblings, Henry (Lori) Patterson Jr., of Detroit, Mi., Louise Patterson, of Chattanooga, Lewis Patterson, of Cleveland, Tn., John Patterson, of Chattanooga; and her loving and devoted twin sister, Deborah Denise (Larry) Grimes, of Chattanooga; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Brother John R. Taylor Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Her body will lie in state on Thursday after noon at the funeral home.
