Hardworking parents who have the cash to splash have been hiring nannies to help out around the home for as long as anyone can remember.

Traditional nanny duties include preparing meals or doing the school run and generally taking care of the kids .

But today it appears some nannies are doing a lot more than just that.

While some are expected to teach children a new language and change nappies, there are others who are now paid to also look after the adults of the family.

According to an article in The New York Post this week, there's currently a "fleet" of super nannies in New York City who are tasked with giving their boss a massage and even blow drying their hair.

Limor Weinstein, who owns a nanny-consulting business in Manhattan, spilled the beans on some of her elite clients.

She revealed that one family, with children aged four and seven, requested a yoga certified nanny, to "make sure everybody in the household was balanced and mindful."

The nanny gives the whole family yoga lessons, even driving to the father's office while the children are at school for a 30 minute session.

Similarly, Erin Maloney-Winder, president of a household staffing company in Manhattan, revealed that she recently was asked by a CEO and mother-of-four to find a "caregiver to blow out her hair" everyday, in addition to caring for the two girls' hair, driving them to school and preparing three meals a day.

If that weren't enough, the nanny also gives the mum facials and manicures as well.

Another wealthy parent, Jeff Goldstein, gets his children's nanny to massage him and his wife for 90 minutes twice a week once the kids are tucked up in bed.

In the UK one of the most hardworking nannies has to be Maria Borrallo , royal nanny to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Maria, who trained as a Norland Nanny lives at the palace with the children.

And while she probably isn't drying Kate Middleton's hair every night, she has learnt to do a lot of bizarre things for her role, including skid-pan training and self-defence.
