PG&E Outage Affects Over 4,200 In Fairfield-Suisun

The outage was one of several in the Bay Area amid stormy weather in the region.

FAIRFIELD-SUISUN, CA — More than 4,000 PG&E customers in the Fairfield-Suisun City area were without power Thursday afternoon. An outage that started at 11:55 a.m. was affecting 4,240 customers east of Interstate Highway 80, but both north and south of state Highway 12, according to PG&E.

As of 1:49 p.m., PG&E crews were at the scene of the outage and investigating the cause, according to the utility company's website.

PG&E gave an estimated time of service restoration of 3:45 p.m. Thursday.

The outage was one of several PG&E was dealing with Thursday in the Bay Area amid stormy weather. As of noon, the outages were fairly evenly spread around the Bay Area, with 290 customers affected in the South Bay, 249 in the Peninsula, 205 in San Francisco, 169 in the East Bay, and 58 in the North Bay, PG&E spokeswoman Tamar Sarkissian said.

The East Bay earlier Thursday had outages affecting 1,693 customers, but the majority of those have since had their power restored, according to Sarkissian.

PG&E advised people to never touch downed wires and to immediately report them by calling 911 and PG&E at 800-743-5002.
