Edmonton weather: We've got that Friday feeling that Nickelback is awesome

A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.

Friday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measured 5 C with 8 km/h winds out of the south, southwest.

Woke up this morning and had one of those weird problems where I had two songs stuck in my head.

One being the great Ben E. King song Stand By Me, more the rhythm than the lyrics. You know you just humming in the early morning hours when it still looks like night outside.

The second song (now keep in mind I’m almost humming/singing these two simultaneously) is Nickelback’s Photograph.

Odd right? I mean the latter makes sense giving the latest Trump – Nickelback brouhaha.

But legit. It’s like I get to the part in the Stand By Me chorus when it’s “darling, darling” and my brain goes “Look at this photograph” I can’t tell if it’s lack of sleep or just the fact that my brain fires off so quickly.

Ask anyone I work with, you never know what song I’m going to sing at work or why. Also if you don’t like Nickelback because you think it’s cool to do so just stop. It’s fine to like or not like something, making someone feel bad because of music choices makes you the horrible person.

Nickelback is a great band, not just with the caveat of a great “Canadian” band they are a great band! You can “AT” me all you want but understand this, I’m just someone who makes silly internet videos and writes weather stories so why would you really try to change my mind.
