Class of 2020 defensive tackle Jeffrey M'ba announced his top 10 via social media

It’s been a long journey for 6-foot-6, 315-pound defensive tackle Jeffrey M’ba.

A native of Paris, France, M’ba moved to America and was originally a Virginia commit in the class of 2019.

But in June, the late-committing defensive lineman announced that he would reclassify into the class of 2020 and re-open his recruitment.

On Tuesday morning, M’ba re-introduced a top 10 list - one that consists of Florida, Florida State, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia:

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound defensive lineman, out of St. Thomas More (Oakdale, Connecticutt), is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 39 defensive tackle and No. 409 prospect overall.

M’ba said he intends to visit Oregon at some point, but is currently focused on becoming eligible.

Oregon has 19 commitments in the class of 2020, including two defensive linemen with defensive ends Jake Shipley and Maceal Afaese.

But the Ducks have yet to secure a nose tackle who can effectively become a space eater in the heart of the defensive line.

Filling that spot will be a huge priority for the remainder of the recruiting cycle.

It appears M’ba will be one to watch to fill that role, although his recruitment still has a lot of time (and competition) remaining.
