Hartville Pet Insurance Group Teams Up with Target(R)

Pet health insurance to be offered to a wider audience

AKRON, Ohio, July 31, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hartville Pet Insurance Group has signed a new strategic partnership with Target ®. Hartville will offer pet health insurance plans underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company to visitors on Target.com website. Target guests who are interested in purchasing pet insurance will be redirected to a new Hartville Pet Insurance Presented By Target™ website starting in late August.

Hartville will offer a variety of plan, coverage and pricing options, including options for wellness, behavioral and alternative therapies; options today's pet parents are looking for from a provider.

"This partnership presents an exciting opportunity and serves as a new route to helping pet parents better understand the benefits of pet health insurance and how it helps promote long-term wellness and financial stability," said Dennis Rushovich, senior vice president, Hartville Pet Insurance Group. "The alliance is unique in our industry, and we feel certain that it will produce positive results."

"Pet parents nationwide will have the opportunity to learn about and purchase pet health insurance for their dogs and cats while shopping for pet-related products and services on Target's popular website. We believe the increased exposure will lead to more pets being covered by insurance, which leads to longer, healthier lives for the animals."

Target has long been a top prospect on Hartville's strategic list for retail partners. The goals of both companies align as they strive to be responsible corporate citizens and generous in the community.

Additionally, Target's mission is to be the preferred shopping destination by delivering value, innovation and exceptional guest experiences, a trait on which Hartville Pet Insurance Group prides itself.
