Hours after Jesse Wilson watched the Kansas City Chiefs destroy the Oakland Raiders, someone did the same thing to his 2017 Dodge Ram Laramie that was adorned with Chiefs logos and colors.Wilson's dad, A.J. Wilson, was the city manager in Kansas City in the 1980s. Wilson's truck was destroyed at his home in Fallbrook, California. Wilson said he believes the truck was destroyed because of his loyalties to the Chiefs – the team he grew up watching and that continues to be his favorite team – while living in Southern California.“I’m really angry, hurt and worried for my family,” Wilson told KMBC 9.Wilson discovered his truck was destroyed Monday morning, hours after the Chiefs beat the Raiders 40-9 Sunday afternoon.Wilson said he noticed his antenna was bent, the truck looked lower than normal and the tires were flat. Upon closer inspection, Wilson found shattered windows, deep scratches, and mangled mirrors and wipers. He also discovered an ax near his truck that police believe the vandal used to chop the holes in the side of the truck.“I watched the game with my dad at his house, which is five minutes from mine,” Wilson said. “I returned home at 4:30 p.m. and parked my truck in my side yard to unload tools from the bed of the truck into the shed. “I should have pulled the truck out and parked it in my driveway like normal but I got distracted by my kiddos. I woke up the next morning and walked out to see my truck in pieces.”To add insult to injury, Wilson said $800 was stolen from his car that was meant to be used to shop for the Adopt a Family his family was working with. Wilson's insurance company said the vandals did $30,000 in damage.“I had pulled cash the day before that my wife and I were going to use for a local adopt a family program for Christmas,” he said. “It was completely my fault that it was there, and the truck was unlocked. The body shop believes the truck is totaled.”Wilson said police told him Wednesday that a group of kids at the local high school were bragging about “banging up a Chiefs truck on Sunday night.” Police told Wilson that this group of kids wear “Raiders gear daily.” “The police have been very supportive, and I really feel they are doing all they can,” Wilson said. “I live in a pretty quiet and safe area. It’s just really terrible timing and really bad decisions by what looks to be a group of local fans.”On Wednesday, Wilson's insurance company said the vandals did $30,000 in damage.
