Army basketball returns

The Army men’s and women’s basketball teams return to play on Wednesday, with a doubleheader at Christl Arena. No fans are being allowed, so there’s two ways to follow the cadets this season: via a subscription to ESPN+ and radio.

WBNR (1260-AM, 96.5-FM) and WLNA (1420-AM) will once again provide the radio broadcasts. For the most part, Rich DeMarco handles the men’s games (with occasional guest analysts) and Justin Rocke is back for the women’s games. The Army games will air on both stations, or they will be split when the men and women are playing at the same time. The games will also be heard on the TuneIn app.

The first games on Wednesday feature the Army women hosting Hofstra at 2 p.m. and the Army men hosting the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at 6:30 p.m.

NFL this week

The Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers game on Thanksgiving night has been moved to Sunday over COVID concerns. The game will be played at 1:15 p.m., with Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth (who were supposed to have off on Sunday) calling the game. This is probably the first time in NFL history that three networks, with CBS and Fox, will show games simultaneously.
