Super Singer Junior winners: Pranjal Biswas and Sharmistha Debnath jointly bag the trophy

Sourik has bagged the second position and cash prize of Rs. 1.5 lacs while Ankita Mondal and Shreetama Saha have jointly bagged the third position.

The wait is over. Young participants Pranjal Biswas and Sharmistha Debnath have jointly won the trophy of Super Singer Junior after giving a tough competition to other finalists. They also received Rs. 2.5 lakh each, apart from the trophy and other prizes. Pranjal also won 'Popular Choice Award'.
Sourik bagged the second position and a cash prize of Rs. 1.5 lakh while Ankita Mondal and Shreetama Saha jointly got the third position.
Ankita and Shreetama were awarded with Rs. 1 lakh each.
Since the beginning, Pranjal left everyone stunned with his expertise in Baul gaan as well as Sufi songs. The young singer, who hails from Karimpur, Nadia district, is fondly known as Fakir Baba on the sets of Super Singer Junior for his expertise in Baul gaan.
Sharmistha, on the other hand, is known for her melodious voice. Her ‘breathless’ song left the judges as well as the audience literally 'breathless'. Alka Yagnik praised her and said she would never have been able to perform the difficult song.
Judges Jeet, Kaushiki and Kumar Sanu praised all the contestants who fought hard.
The grand finale was a musical extravaganza. The star-studded show had Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Shaan, Alka Yagnik, Hariharan, Kay Kay, Kunal Ganjawala, Benny Dayal, Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, Pandit Subhankar Banerjee, Pandit Tanmoy Bose, Sreekumar Chatterjee, Haimanti Shukla, Nachiketa, Rupankar, Raghab, Monomoy, Subhamita, Indrani Sen, Jayati, Dhanshiri and others. From Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu’s duet to Hariharan and Kaykay’s ‘Jugalbandi’, the gala event had many magical moments.

Special guests Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Hariharan, Kay Kay, Kunal Ganjawala were stunned to witness the performances of the young participants. They praised the little singers and encouraged them to follow their dreams.
Guests Udit Narayan and Sonu praised Ankita for not letting her dreams go away despite facing odds. Udit Narayan went nostalgic and shared his days of struggle.
The music reality show, hosted by Rooqma Ray started its journey in June. Young singers from different parts of the state and neighbouring country Bangladesh also participated in the audition. After several weeks of tough fight and rigorous grooming sessions, 5 contestants, Sreetama, Sourik, Pranjal, Sharmistha and Ankita made it to the finale.
Actor Mithun Chakraborty was present as the grand jury. He praised the talented contestants too.
Mithun da was seen performing to some groovy tunes. He left the audience rooting for more with his charisma and signature steps. Srabanti Chatterjee and Soham Chakraborty also set the stage on fire. Dance Dance 2 will soon go on-air and Mithun will be seen as the grand judge. Srabanti and Soham will also be seen as judges.
